Thinking about Apple.

Challenge

We would like your help with HTML ad development and email design for our Apple account. These projects come fast-tracked and with quite stringent milestones, so please communicate questions or suggestions early on. Also, be prepared to keep several balls in the air, as things can change quickly based on client feedback. Adherence to guidelines and brand awareness is essential.

Perspective

The question I tried to answer in this collaboration: how to be creative and stay on brand. To allow myself creative headroom, I often scheduled quick Zoom calls to generate feedback from Three. Sometimes I created prototypes to better understand the end clients' preferences. On the email side of things, I introduced Litmus into the development workflow to minimize device rendering issues and optimize testing. I further made it a mission to reactor and redesign some templates from the ground up.

Negative space is key in the world of Apple. In both my layout work and I tried to allow for minimalism without pushing logos and words out of agreed pixel bounds.

In the gym, I leave my IPhone in the locker. But I regularly find myself on Apple's website to draw down inspiration from their understated design concepts. So this was an interesting collaboration! Three is a great team to work with.
‘Ridiculously efficient’ is the phrase that comes to mind when I think about Thomas. I had the pleasure of working with Thomas for his time at the Three. We collaborated on several project’s and deadlines together. I was particularly impressed by Thomas’s can-do attitude; nothing was too hard, and he always managed to find a way to make it work. His ability to handle even the toughest task or tight deadline, all with a happy and friendly attitude. Thomas would be an asset to any team.
