Challenge
I worked for over a decade with the terrific team at Radical. And even though I've done much for them, there is always the challenge of improving on past efforts. In this project for Marriott Hotels I had looming deadlines and 60 ads to create and traffic on Google Studio. The ads should adapt to both the Arabic and the English language. And adhere to the sleek prompting style Marriott prefers.
Perspective
The familiar landscape enabled me to get busy on the first day by coding up the HTML templates. I used the GreenSock (GSAP) library to keep animations smooth yet snappy and timings symmetrical across all themes. For Arabic, I implemented right-to-left text flow and double-checked all copy using online translators — performing Q&A during the creative process helps get things right the first time.
